The antithesis of slow design is fast furniture- the drop shipped, easy pieces that you find online and put together on the weekend. I take the middle road on my philosophy of fast furniture. Often times well-selected fast furniture is essential to create the feel of the home you desire in the timeline and budget allotted.  IKEA,  Amazon and Target and slow design can work together, and often expand and deepen the creativity when they do. Mostly, I think its about consumption patterns in general….it’s not what we purchase, but how much and why we purchase it that matters a lot more.
